MINOR Division

MINOR Division

Recommended for 8, 9 and 10 year olds (as well as some older players, up to 12, with less experience). Among teammates of their own age and experience level, players continue building and refining their fundamental baseball skills, while incorporating an understanding of game strategy, base stealing, positioning, and healthy competition. It is at the minor league level that players first experience post-season tournament competition, with district, state, and regional levels of play.

In order to encourage the league to train more pitchers, House Rules have been established to set the maximum number of innings a pitcher may pitch.

Length of Games: All games are 6 innings. No new inning may start after 2 hours.
Playing Time: All players play at least 3 innings in the field per game.  Each team utlizes a continuous batting order.
Runs Per Inning: Maximum of 3 runs per inning, except for the last inning, which is uncapped.

All Minor Divison games are played during the week, Monday-Thursday and on Saturdays.

All Minor Division Teams practice a minimum once per week, weather permitting.

Coaches and Parents should come together to establish an appropriate practice day.  A Team Manager (mom or dad) should be established to help with some of the team updates and events, as well as work with the coaches to help gather information from other team parents.

We also have Fall Ball programs for our Minor Division.

For more information, please contact the League's Minor Division Directors,  Gary Maccarone & Jim Tweed.
